Premiership previews

There is a full card of Scottish Premiership action on Wednesday evening, with reigning champions Celtic kicking off their campaign against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, live on Sky Sports.

Partick Thistle get their season under way, with Ross County the visitors to Firhill, while the new 3G pitch at Rugby Park will be used for the first time as Kilmarnock play Aberdeen.

Kilmarnock will play the first match on the new artificial pitch that was installed at Rugby Park during the summer. Allan Johnston’s side began with a 1-1 draw at Dundee on Saturday while Aberdeen lost at home to Dundee United. The Dons won all three meetings last season.
