Queen's Park receive plenty of applications

Recruitment of Hampden head coach moves step forward

Queen’s Park received over 30 applications for the vacant position of Head Coach at the Hampden club by the closing date of last Friday.

The Spiders’ committee met on Saturday morning to short-list the applicants with interviews due to be conducted over the next week.

Gardner Speirs left the Head Coach’s position just before Christmas by mutual consent after almost 6 years in charge with Club President Ross Caven saying: “The Committee are delighted with both the quantity and quality of applications. We have discussed the applicants in detail and are now ready to take things further.”

“We will take our time to make sure that we get the right person for the job.”
