Quinn set for spell on sidelines

Queen of the South midfielder could be out for up to 8 weeks

Rocco QuinnQueen of the South manager Kenny Brannigan is bracing himself for the news that midfielder Rocco Quinn is unlikely to feature for his side for the next two months which will see the former Celtic youngster miss out on the Palmerston club’s promotion push and ALBA Challenge Cup Final against Ross County.

Quinn was taken off against Dunfermline at the weekend with a hamstring problem and tests on Monday did not bring good news with Brannigan saying, “It looks like it is a tear in his hamstring and that usually means up to 8 weeks out. That would rule Rocco out of a lot of important games including a Cup Final and that is a real blow for him and us.”

“We are down to the bare bones but there is no point in asking the Chairman to bring anyone in as there is no money at the club.”
