Declan McManus scored twice and Ross Callachan was also on target for Gary Locke’s team before Ryan Hardie pulled one back for the visitors.
 
Hibernian also made it two wins out of two, with a 2-1 victory over Dunfermline Athletic at Easter Road. Jason Cummings scored the clincher 12 minutes from time after Gavin Reilly had cancelled out a Ben Richards-Everton own goal.
 
Queen of the South are third after seeing off Ayr United 4-1 at Palmerston. Derek Lyle netted twice and Stephen Dobbie and Lyndon Dykes were also on target, with Kevin Nisbet replying for Ayr.
 
Mark Docherty converted a penalty early in the second half as Dumbarton upset the odds to beat Dundee United 1-0 at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium.
 
Luke Leahy grabbed a stoppage-time equaliser as Falkirk earned a 1-1 draw away to Morton, who had gone ahead through Lee Kilday.
