Ian Murray has been sacked as Raith Rovers manager, the club has confirmed.
Rovers lost 1-0 to Airdrieonians in their opening clash of the 2024/25 William Hill Championship season with Murray departing less than 24 hours later.
The former Hibernian and Rangers defender, who became Rovers boss in May 2022, led the club to second place in the division in the 2023/24 season, losing in the Premiership Play-Off final against Ross County.
A club statement read: "Despite finishing 2nd last season, results and performances since the turn of the year have fallen short of expectations. The board has therefore decided to terminate the manager’s contract.
"The process of appointing a new manager has begun. In the interim, Colin Cameron and John Potter will take on First Team duties until a successor is appointed."
