Raith Rovers have signed 19-year-old midfielder Darren Petrie after he was released by Dundee United at the end of the season.
The teenager worked with new Stark's Park boss Ray McKinnon during a previous loan spell at Brechin City and also spent time on loan at Dumbarton in 2014/15.
Meanwhile, Rovers have announced that Ryan Conroy, Calum Elliot, Liam Fox, Dougie Hill, Kevin Moon, Liam McCroary, Christian Nade and Martin Scott are all leaving the club.
The players retained are Grant Anderson, Craig Barr, David Bates, Ross Callachan, Kieran Campbell, Jonny Court, Kevin Cuthbert, Laurie Ellis, Elliot Ford, Scott Law, Ross Matthews, David McGurn, Rory McKeown, Callum Robertson, Mark Stewart, Jason Thomson and Lewis Vaughan.
Discussions are ongoing with Ross Laidlaw and Paul Watson.
