Rangers add Barclay and Deland

Borderers build squad

Michael DelandBerwick Rangers have added two players to their ranks ahead of the big kick off with former Falkirk and Scotland under-21 goalkeeper Jamie Barclay returning to the club where he played 13 games on loan in 2009 on a permanent basis and he is being joined by Michael Deland from Hearts.

The 20-year-old full back has impressed as a trialist at Shielfield in pre-season and after a potential move to England broke down, Berwick boss Jimmy Crease pounced to sign the player who gained first team experience at East Fife last season.

Crease said, “I am delighted to bring the two guys here and look forward to them building on what we have seen them do in Berwick colours before.”
