The 22-year-old began his career at Liverpool and had a spell on loan at Chester during his time at Anfield.
Firth told the Rangers website: “I had the experience as a kid at Liverpool, being in and around the reserves, but to join a club which is definitely just as big as Liverpool, more successful, and to be in and around the first team, it’s just a massive thing for me.”
