Rangers boss Mark Warburton has made attacking midfielder Niko Kranjcar his sixth signing of the summer.

Rangers boss Mark Warburton has made attacking midfielder Niko Kranjcar his sixth signing of the summer.

The 31-year-old earned more than 80 caps for Croatia and arrives at Ibrox on a two-year deal after a spell with New York Cosmos.

He can count Portsmouth, Tottenham and QPR among his former clubs and joins fellow new boys Josh Windass (Accrington Stanley), Matt Crooks (Accrington Stanley), Jordan Rossiter (Liverpool), Joey Barton (Burnley) and Clint Hill (Queens Park Rangers) at the club.

Warburton told the Rangers website: "We are delighted to secure a player of Niko’s undoubted qualities. Such a signing shows our desire to achieve a positive balance between young, hungry players and the undoubted necessity of experience and maturity."
