Rangers launch new home kit

Pedro Mendes helped show off Rangers' home strip for season 2009/10 at Murray Park today. 

The club's new kit is traditional blue with a distinctive checkerboard pattern design which is reminiscent of the home top from the late 1980s.

The shirt, which will continue to sport a Saltire on the back neck, is complimented by traditional Rangers black socks with red trim and the classic white shorts.
 
Pedro Mendes said: “The new strip looks fantastic and our supporters have been pre-ordering online in record numbers. We are all looking forward to playing again in the new kit and I am sure our fans will be keen to get the new strip tomorrow."

The strip will be available to purchase exclusively from Rangers outlets including the Megastore at Ibrox, online at www.rangers.co.uk and via mail order on 0871 702 1972 from Thursday.
