Rangers thrashed Motherwell 6-1 at Fir Park on Sunday to move four points clear at the top of the cinch Premiership.
Bevis Mugabi gave the Steelmen an early lead but James Tavernier and Sakala turned things round for Steven Gerrard's men late in the first half.
Sakala struck twice in the second half to complete his hat-trick, with Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe also on target. Motherwell had Stephen O'Donnell sent off when they trailed 3-1.
