Dundee United midfielder John Rankin has signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2016.
The 30-year-old former Inverness CT player joined from Hibernian in May 2011 and has missed just two games this season.
United boss Jackie McNamara told the club website: "This is great news for the club and the fans. John wanted to stay here and continue to enjoy his football and we are delighted with the job he is doing."
Rankin added: "The last three seasons have been the most enjoyable period of my career. There is a positive vibe around Tannadice and we can achieve things in the near future here. We have shown progress over my time here and I think we are now ready to go to the next level."
