St Mirren have signed defender Craig Reid on loan from Motherwell until January, with Keith Watson facing three months out with an ankle injury.
Reid began his career at Celtic and has also played for Queen of the South, Stirling Albion and Morton. The 29-year-old made his debut for Ian Murray's men in Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Falkirk and was sent off in the closing minutes but the Paisley club are planning to appeal that decision.
He told the St Mirren website: “I was injured in March and it’s important I get back to playing some first-team games as the 20s aren’t the same standard or level. I didn’t hesitate when I was asked to come here - it’s a good league and a good club to be at.”
