Dunfermline Athletic continued their good run with a 2-1 victory away to rivals Falkirk while Inverness Caley Thistle saw off Queen of the South 2-0 at Palmerston. Dumbarton upset the odds to beat Dundee United 3-2 at the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium but the Tannadice club stay fourth in the table.
Ayr United are closing in on the Ladbrokes League 1 title after coming from behind to beat Airdrieonians 2-1 at the Excelsior Stadium as nearest challengers Raith Rovers were held 1-1 by Arbroath at Gayfield. Stranraer kept their slim play-off hopes alive by beating Alloa Athletic 1-0 at the Indodrill Stadium. Forfar Athletic beat Albion Rovers 1-0 at Cliftonhill to move seven points clear of the relegation zone and East Fife were 3-2 winners away to bottom club Queen's Park.
Peterhead stay top of Ladbrokes League 2 on goal difference after winning 3-1 away to Berwick Rangers. Second-placed Montrose, who have a game in hand, thrashed Stirling Albion 5-0 at Forthbank, with Lewis Milne scoring a hat-trick. Stenhousemuir moved back into the top four with a 4-1 victory away to Edinburgh City. Play-off hopefuls Clyde lost 1-0 at bottom club Cowdenbeath and Elgin City slumped 4-1 away to Annan Athletic.
