Albion Rovers Manager Paul Martin has selection problems of the right kind for the first time this season as he ponders his starting eleven for tomorrow’s trip to Cowdenbeath.
Martin’s playing assistant Todd Lumsden is free of injury and is available for selection and Ryan McStay is also available after suspension, however it was the performance from the bench of substitutes Chris Hamilton, Larry Acquah and Danny Ferry in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Stenhousemuir that has pleased Martin the most.
The Cliftonhill boss explained, “Chris and Larry combined to score the goal that got us level where as Danny added a great deal of composure. Having Todd and Ryan available as well as three substitutes staking claims for a starting spot means I am genuinely excited about picking our side for this game and I have not had that feeling all season. We have had so many injuries and other issues to deal with that some weeks we have not had enough players to fill the bench.”
