Raith Rovers have tied 17 year old defender Reece Donaldson to the club on a new deal until 2014 as a reward for his progress from the Youth Ranks at the club to the First Team.
Starks Park manager John McGlynn said of the Edinburgh born player, “Reece has been with us for three years and we are really pleased that he has agreed to stay. He moved into the first team late last season, and played in our friendly games over the summer and has started in our first four games this season.”
“It is not always easy to progress as quickly as he has but he is good with both feet and athletic. He has great potential and it is a big plus for our Academy to have someone like him coming through.”
McGlynn added, “It also shows that if you are good enough you will get your chance at Raith Rovers regardless of your age.”
