The 19-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan to Plymouth Argyle and had a successful loan spell at Falkirk in 2018/19.
Thistle manager Ian McCall told the club website: "There were many other clubs interested in signing him so we are delighted that Zak has chosen Partick Thistle to continue his career."
