John Sutton and Lewis Morgan scored in the second half for Jack Ross' side, who also have a game in hand on the Honest Men.

Queen of the South were the only other winners, beating Raith Rovers 2-1 at Palmerston with goals from John Rankin and Derek Lyle. Jean-Yves M'voto pulled one back for Rovers.

Leaders Hibernian were pegged back in a 2-2 draw with Dunfermline Athletic at Easter Road. Martin Boyle and Jason Cummings (penalty) had Hibs 2-0 up but Paul McMullan and Kallum Higginbotham earned the Pars a point.

Dundee United drew 1-1 with promotion rivals Morton at Tannadice, with Mark Durnan cancelling out a Lee Kilday goal late on.

Falkirk stay third despite a 2-2 home draw with Dumbarton. Luke Leahy and Nathan Austin scored for the Bairns, with Lewis Vaughan and Andy Stirling netting for the Sons.
