St Johnstone have announced that York City midfielder Michael Coulson will join them on a two-year deal in the summer.
The 27-year-old has previously played for Scarborough, Barnsley and Grimsby Town but is currently with Jackie McNamara's League 2 side.
Saints boss Tommy Wright told the club website: “Michael is a player I’ve admired for some time and we tried to sign him in the transfer window but couldn’t make it happen. However, I am delighted to get him on board as our plans to improve the squad for next season continue.”
