St Johnstone beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 4-0 in the second leg of the cinch Premiership play-off final at McDiarmid Park on Monday evening.
It ended 2-2 in the first leg in the Highland capital on Friday and it was 0-0 at half-time in the return match but Saints netted four times after the break.
Substitute Stevie May broke the deadlock almost immediately and Cammy MacPherson quickly added a second goal for Callum Davidson's side with the help of a deflection.
Callum Hendry and Shaun Rooney struck with cool finishes late on to ensure another season in the top flight for the Perth club and deny Billy Dodds' men promotion.
Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: “I would like to warmly congratulate St Johnstone on winning the cinch Premiership play-off final.
“It was a fitting end to the SPFL calendar this season with St Johnstone maintaining their place in Scotland’s top tier for the 13th consecutive season.
“I would also like to send our commiserations to everyone at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who more than played their part in this excellent contest.”
