St Johnstone are bidding to reach their third Scottish League Cup final when they face Hibernian at Tynecastle on Saturday.

Saints beat Motherwell 2-0 in the last four in 1969/70 before losing the final 1-0 to Celtic while in 1998/99 they saw off Hearts 3-0 at Easter Road before going down 2-1 to Rangers in the decider at Celtic Park.

Tommy Wright's team produced an outstanding performance to beat Rangers 3-1 in the third round of this season's competition at Ibrox and came from behind to see off Morton by the same score in the quarter-final at Cappielow.

St Johnstone and Hibernian met in the semi-finals of the 2006/07 League Cup, with Hibs winning 3-1 after extra time at Tynecastle.
