Hibs hit six, Ayr stay top and Edinburgh City win again

Hibernian closed the gap on Ladbrokes Premiership leaders Hearts to two points with a 6-0 thrashing of Hamilton Accies at Easter Road. Kilmarnock are third after hitting back to beat bottom club Dundee 2-1 at Dens Park while Livingston made it seven games without defeat in a 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park. Sam Cosgrove netted twice as Aberdeen saw off St Mirren 4-1 at Pittodrie. Rangers host Hearts on Sunday, with St Johnstone at home to Celtic.

Ayr United remain two points clear in the Ladbrokes Championship after beating Dundee United 2-0 at Somerset Park while second-placed Ross County won by the same score away to Partick Thistle. Dunfermline Athletic were 2-0 winners at bottom club Falkirk and it was 1-1 between Inverness CT and Morton in the Highland capital. Alloa Athletic were three goals up against Queen of the South but another Stephen Dobbie hat-trick earned QOS a 3-3 draw.

Arbroath stay four points clear of Raith Rovers at the top of Ladbrokes League 1 after the sides drew 1-1 at Stark's Park. In-form East Fife thumped Forfar Athletic 4-0 at Station Park and Brechin City earned a 3-1 victory away to Airdrieonians. There were 3-2 home wins for Stranraer against Dumbarton and Stenhousemuir over Montrose.

Blair Henderson scored twice as Ladbrokes League 2 leaders Edinburgh City made it seven wins in a row with a 3-0 victory over Berwick Rangers at Ainslie Park. Peterhead, in second spot, saw off Elgin City 3-0 at Balmoor but Clyde went down 1-0 to Queen's Park at Hampden. Annan Athletic beat bottom club Albion Rovers 3-1 at Galabank and Cowdenbeath edged out Stirling Albion 1-0 at Central Park.
