Graeme Shinnie scored both goals as Aberdeen beat St Johnstone 2-0 at McDiarmid Park on Saturday to move to within two points of second-placed Rangers in the Ladbrokes Premiership. Chris Erskine's goal was the difference as Livingston defeated Kilmarnock 1-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena and bottom club St Mirren hit back for a 1-1 draw with Hearts at Tynecastle.

Ross Stewart scored twice as Ross County stormed back from two goals down to beat Partick Thistle 4-2 in Glasgow. The Staggies are now five points clear in the Ladbrokes Championship after Ayr United lost 1-0 at home to Dunfermline Athletic and Dundee United were held 1-1 at Falkirk. Alloa Athletic are out of the relegation zone after a last-gasp 2-1 win away to Queen of the South and Inverness CT are five points clear in fourth place thanks to a 1-0 home victory over Morton.

Bobby Linn scored a hat-trick as Arbroath overcame Airdrieonians 3-2 at Gayfield to stay 16 points clear in Ladbrokes League 1. Second-placed Raith Rovers saw off Montrose 4-1 at Stark's Park and Forfar Athletic, who are third, beat bottom club Stenhousemuir 2-1 at Station Park. Dom Thomas hit a hat-trick as Dumbarton defeated East Fife 4-3 at Bayview and Stranraer leapfrogged Brechin City with a 2-1 win at Glebe Park.

Edinburgh City remain a point ahead in Ladbrokes League 2 following a 2-0 home win over Cowdenbeath while Peterhead were 1-0 winners away to Stirling Albion. Third-placed Clyde were held to a 1-1 draw with Queen's Park at Hampden and Annan Athletic are now six points clear in fourth place after thumping bottom club Albion Rovers 4-0 at Galabank. Elgin City are up to fifth spot after winning 3-0 against Berwick Rangers at Shielfield.
