Chris Burke scored the only goal as Kilmarnock defeated Hearts 1-0 at Tynecastle while it finished 2-2 between Ross County and bottom club St Johnstone in Dingwall.
Ayr United missed the chance to go top of the Ladbrokes Championship as they went down 2-0 to third-placed Inverness CT at Somerset Park. Dundee enjoyed a 2-0 home win over Arbroath and Queen of the South beat Partick Thistle 1-0 at Firhill. Morton and Dunfermline Athletic drew 1-1 at Cappielow.
Raith Rovers hit back to draw 2-2 with Falkirk at Stark's Park and stay two points clear at the top of Ladbrokes League 1. Second-placed East Fife are still unbeaten but were held to a 1-1 draw by Stranraer, who slipped to the foot of the table. Airdrieonians are up to fourth spot after a 2-1 victory at Peterhead and Dumbarton are just outside the play-offs thanks to a 3-1 success against Forfar Athletic. Montrose beat Clyde 2-0 at Broadwood to move off the bottom.
Cove Rangers stay top of Ladbrokes League 2 despite suffering their first defeat of the season, going down 3-2 to Stenhousemuir at Ochilview. Cowdenbeath leapfrogged Edinburgh City to go second thanks to a 1-0 win at Central Park. Elgin City were 3-1 winners away to Albion Rovers and Annan Athletic beat Queen's Park 2-1 at Hampden. Brechin City and bottom club Stirling Albion drew 1-1 at Glebe Park.
