Kilmarnock shrugged off an early red card for Stuart Findlay to defeat Ross County 3-1 at Rugby Park while St Mirren won 1-0 at Livingston. St Johnstone and Motherwell drew 1-1 at McDiarmid Park. Ayr United defeated Dundee 2-0 at Somerset Park and Queen of the South earned their first win, beating Alloa Athletic 2-0 at Palmerston. Arbroath and Morton drew 0-0 at Gayfield.
Falkirk beat Cove Rangers 1-0 to end Cove's 100% start and move to within a point of the Scottish League 1 leaders. Airdrieonians are in third spot thanks to a 3-1 victory away to bottom club Forfar Athletic while Partick Thistle beat East Fife 2-0 at Firhill. David Goodwillie hit a hat-trick in a 3-2 home win over Montrose and Peterhead beat Dumbarton 1-0 at Balmoor.
Queen's Park moved four points clear at the top of Scottish League 2 with a 3-0 home win over bottom club Brechin City while Elgin City are up to second after beating Stirling Albion 2-1 at Forthbank. Annan Athletic were 2-1 winners against Stenhousemuir at Ochilview and Stranraer beat Edinburgh City 1-0 at Ainslie Park. Cowdenbeath v Albion Rovers was postponed as Rovers could not fulfil the fixture due to Coronavirus.
