Rangers closed the gap on cinch Premiership leaders Celtic to five points with a 3-1 home win over Dundee while St Mirren are up to third place after beating Ross County 2-0 in Paisley. Hibernian are fourth following their 1-0 victory away to bottom club Livingston while Aberdeen came from behind to defeat Heart of Midlothian 2-1 at Pittodrie. Motherwell and St Johnstone drew 1-1 at Fir Park. Kilmarnock host Celtic on Sunday, live on Sky Sports at 12 noon.

Dundee United returned to the top of the cinch Championship table thanks to a 1-0 home win over Ayr United while fourth-placed Dunfermline Athletic were 2-1 winners away to Airdrieonians. Queen's Park parted company with manager Robin Veldman after losing 4-1 to Inverness CT at Hampden. Bottom club Greenock Morton beat Arbroath 2-1 at Gayfield.

Falkirk moved level on points with cinch League 1 leaders Hamilton Accies thanks to a 2-1 home win over Kelty Hearts while Accies were held to a 0-0 draw at Alloa Athletic. Third-placed Cove Rangers beat Annan Athletic 3-1 at Galabank while Stirling Albion defeated bottom club Edinburgh City by the same score at Meadowbank. Queen of the South ran out 4-1 winners against Montrose at Links Park.

Stenhousemuir are now five points clear in cinch League 2 after a 1-0 win at Dumbarton while Peterhead drew 1-1 with Bonnyrigg Rose at New Dundas Park. East Fife thumped Elgin City 4-0 at Bayview and The Spartans beat Forfar Athletic 1-0 at Ainslie Park. Bottom club Clyde drew 2-2 with Stranraer at New Douglas Park.
