The visitors, who have two games in hand, had Leon Balogun sent off but pulled a goal back through James Tavernier. St Mirren enjoyed a 3-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie while Motherwell ended their long winless run with a 3-1 victory over bottom club Livingston at Fir Park. Third-placed Heart of Midlothian fought back to draw 2-2 with Ross County at Tynecastle and it was also 2-2 between fourth-placed Kilmarnock and Dundee at Rugby Park.
Substitute goalkeeper Alasdair Adams, playing outfield, scored a stunning goal for Arbroath as the Red Lichties hit back to draw 2-2 with cinch Championship leaders Raith Rovers at Stark's Park. It was also 2-2 between Ayr United and Dunfermline Athletic at Somerset Park while Inverness CT and Greenock Morton drew 0-0 in the Highlands. Airdrieonians came from behind to beat bottom club Queen's Park 2-1 at Hampden.
Falkirk remain five points clear at the summit of cinch League 1 after thrashing Stirling Albion 5-0 while closest challengers Hamilton Accies won 5-2 away to bottom club Edinburgh City. Queen of the South beat Annan Athletic 2-1 at Palmerston while Montrose and Cove Rangers drew 1-1 at Links Park. Kelty Hearts v Alloa Athletic was postponed.
Stenhousemuir are now 11 points clear in cinch League 2 following their 2-1 win at bottom club Clyde while second-placed Peterhead lost 2-1 to Elgin City at Borough Briggs. Forfar Athletic and East Fife drew 0-0 at Station Park. Bonnyrigg Rose v The Spartans and Stranraer v Dumbarton were postponed.
