Scottish referee to benefit from exchange programme

Scottish whistler John Beaton is the man in the middle for this Saturday’s IFA Premiership match between Glenavon and Donegal Celtic at Mourneview Park in Lurgan. Beaton is being given the opportunity as part of the Referee Development Exchange Programme entered into by the SFA and their Northern Irish equivalent.

The SFA’s Head of Disciplinary Affairs Drew Herbertson said, “The exchange programme as been given for six seasons now and is proving to be of benefit to referees of both associations. I am sure John will gain experience in this game that will benefit him throughout the rest of his career.”
