Iceland internationalist Kari Arnason has returned to Aberdeen for a second spell at Pittodrie on a one-year contract.
The 34-year-old was with the Dons in 2011/12 and has since played for Rotherham United, Malmo and, most recently, Omonia in Cyprus.
Arnason can play in defence or midfield and joins fellow new boys Greg Tansey (Inverness Caley Thistle), Ryan Christie (Celtic, loan), Greg Stewart (Birmingham City, loan), Nicky Maynard (MK Dons) and Gary Mackay-Steven (Celtic) in Derek McInnes’ squad.
