Thomas O'Brien got the only goal just before the break as Gary Bollan's men made it seven wins out of seven this season.

Elgin City are up to third place thanks to a 4-0 win away to Stirling Albion, who parted company with manager Stuart McLaren after the game. Shane Sutherland scored twice for Elgin, with Chris Dodd and Craig Gunn also on target.

Bottom club Edinburgh City picked up their second point of the season in a 1-1 draw against Annan Athletic at Galabank. David McKenna opened the scoring but a Steven Swinglehurst own goal levelled things up early in the second half.

There were 0-0 draws between Arbroath and Cowdenbeath at Gayfield and Montrose and Berwick Rangers at Links Park.
