East Stirlingshire full-back Nathan Shepherd is set to play 90 minutes tonight for the first time in over a year when the Shire meet Stenhousemuir in a Reserve League Cup tie.
The former Morton and Stranraer defender first suffered his knee injury against Clyde in December 2012, before aggravating the problem against Rangers at Ibrox in March last year.
Fans and the club paid for Shepherd to be operated on privately and he has featured in a couple of bounce games recently but head coach John Coughlin is now looking for him to get 90 minutes under his belt.
