Montrose boss George Shields has signed goalkeeper Lucas Birnstingl, who has played the last two games as a trialist.
The German-born shot-stopper moved to Scotland from Canada and was with Queen's Park last season, having previously had a spell at Bo’ness United.
Montrose are third in League 2 after beating Clyde 2-1 in midweek and welcome East Fife to Links Park on Saturday.
