Morton manager Kenny Shiels has added new face number six to his squad, with former Chelsea, Brighton and Chelmsford City defender Ben Sampayo agreeing a deal until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has joined recent recruits Darren Cole, Jamie McCormack, David Robertson, Barrie Mackay and Garry O’Connor in the Greenock side’s fight against the drop.
Shiels said: “I have been interested in Ben for a couple of weeks and have now got him to put pen to paper. He has a good pedigree after his years at Chelsea and he also gives us some versatility.”
