Falkirk’s Technical Director Alex Smith reckons that Bairns midfielder Conor McGrandles is due a call-up to either the Under-19 or Under-21 side after a series of mature displays in the Championship.
The 18-year-old has played more than 70 times for the Falkirk first team and Smith feels McGrandles must now be featuring on the radars of Ricky Sbragia and Billy Stark.
Smith said: “Conor has amassed a lot of experience in the last couple of years and, as far as I am concerned, he is the best prospect in the Championship. He has experience that other players his age do not have and he deserves a call-up to either the U19s or U21s. Hopefully he will get involved before the end of the season.”
