The 34-year-old can count Motherwell, Falkirk, Preston, Dundee United, Ross County and Hibernian among his former clubs and has also recently played in Iceland and Brunei.
Boss Jim Duffy told the club website: “Brian will give us another option in the vital remaining games of this season. He is an experienced campaigner and we're pleased to get him on board.”
