Midfielder suffers broken leg in Highland Leagie game

Paul Emslie in action for Peterhead in 2011.Former Rangers, Clyde, Peterhead and Scotland under-19 internationalist Paul Emslie suffered a broken leg on Saturday in the Highland League game between his side Cove Rangers and visitors Deveronvale.

The 24-year-old Aberdonian, who played once for the Ibrox side in a League Cup tie against East Fife in 2007, left Rangers in 2010 after a loan spell at Clyde and headed for Peterhead where he played for one season before joining Cove.

Cove manager Kevin Tindal said: “Paul will be in plaster for 4 months and it is a real sickening blow for everyone.”
