Raith striker Greig Spence is determined to make up for the disappointment of losing out two years ago when Grant Murray’s men face Rangers at Easter Road on Sunday.
Spence was on loan from Celtic to Hamilton Accies when they lost 1-0 to Falkirk in the Ramsdens Cup final two years ago and he is determined to avoid another setback.
The 21-year-old, who scored the winner against Falkirk in this season’s quarter-final, said: “If we could beat Rangers it would be a real coup and would make up for losing last time.
“Finals do not come along very often. I don’t buy into the theory that you are young so you will get another chance. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and aim to make the most of it.
“We beat Hibernian 3-2 at Easter Road in the Scottish Cup a couple of months and that was a great experience and it can only benefit us on Sunday.”
