-ProgrammeMaster produces 68-page programmes, priced at £3 and available online-
Here’s an exclusive preview of the official match programme front covers for this weekend’s Scottish League Cup Semi-Finals – the first produced by ProgrammeMaster in a new deal with the SPFL.
The SPFL has agreed the new contract with leading UK sports publisher ProgrammeMaster ahead of the Aberdeen v St Johnstone and Heart of Midlothian v Inverness CT ties, allowing fans to order programmes online in advance of games for the first time. Programmes will, as usual, also be available to buy before kick-offs from vendors near and outside both Edinburgh stadiums being used to host the contests.
It is a first venture north of the border for ProgrammeMaster, which creates glossy publications for many high-profile UK sporting events including The Ashes, World Snooker, England Rugby, The Capital One Cup Final, Rugby League World Cup 2013 and for English football clubs including Liverpool, Fulham and West Ham United.
The first official match programmes it will create as part of the new partnership with the SPFL are for this weekend's Scottish League Cup Semi-Finals, priced at £3 and each featuring 68 pages of news, features and interviews. Programmes for both matches are available now via www.programmemaster.com.
In addition, ProgrammeMaster is creating a smart phone app ahead of the Scottish League Cup and Ramsdens Cup Finals allowing fans both in the UK and around the world to access programmes for each showpiece match at the touch of a button.
Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: “ProgrammeMaster has an extensive portfolio and terrific experience of delivering high-quality programmes and publications for some of the biggest sporting events in the world.
“We’re thrilled that the SPFL and – this weekend – the Scottish League Cup will benefit from that expertise and flair and look forward to reading what are among the most treasured souvenirs from any football match.”
ProgrammeMaster, which was founded in 1999, combines international experience with local knowledge to deliver the very best in high-quality magazines, match-day and event programmes, web content and digital publications. Its longest-standing client is with The Football League in England.
Lee Berry, managing director of ProgrammeMaster, said: “Everyone around the world knows how passionate Scottish football fans are about the game so we are naturally absolutely delighted to be working with the SPFL, initially on the upcoming Scottish League Cup Semi-Finals.
“The digital age provides a terrific opportunity to reach a wider audience than ever before and ProgrammeMaster continually invests and innovates to help take match programmes to football fans throughout the world.”
