East Fife striker Kevin Smith is aiming to score for the third game in a row when Gary Naysmith’s side face East Stirlingshire on Saturday.

The former Leeds United, Sunderland, Wrexham, Dundee, Dundee United, Raith Rovers, Notts County, Queen of the South and Dumbarton forward is the latest player to fall under the SPFL Spotlight.

What’s the best goal you have ever scored?
The goal that means the most to me was a header for Notts County in August 2010. It was not the most memorable goal in terms of technical ability but it was a really important one. It turned out to be the winner in a Carling Cup tie against Watford at Vicarage Road at a time when Notts were not doing great and Watford were flying.

What’s the best game that you have played in?
That was my second home appearance for Dundee United when they played Hibs at Tannadice back in May 2010. I had played against Rangers the week before but to play against the side I had supported since I was a wee boy was very special indeed, even though we lost 2-0.

What is your favourite away ground?
It has to be across the other side of Edinburgh at Tynecastle. I played there for Scotland’s U15 side and it remains a great memory. Even though it was not full that night you could sense the atmosphere because of the way the stands are on top of you.

What is your favourite other sport?

Golf – I am big into my golf and play as often as I can. I am a member of Royal Musselburgh and have a 12 handicap that I would like to bring down.

Which player in the world would you like to have in your team?
Cristiano Ronaldo! It is between him and Lionel Messi however Ronaldo just edges it. He has been a fantastic talent who has played an amazing amount of games. I am not sure what he would make of a November Saturday at Bayview all the same!

What is your favourite pre-match meal?
It has to be beans on toast. Ever since I was a wee boy getting ready to play football it involved having some beans on toast with my dad making them when I was young.

What is your favourite music?
Dance music is my favourite. Big Jon McShane, like a lot of the Glasgow boys in the team, is into dance music as well and he looks after the tunes for the players. The manager just lets us get on with it.

Who is the biggest moaner that you have played with?
Allan Walker just moans continuously on and off the park. I played with him at Raith and when the boss said he was coming here I should have warned him what Allan is like!

Who is your most skilful team-mate?
At East Fife we have a young midfielder called Ross Brown and he is full of tricks and pretty skilful. Overall in my career it has to be Aaron Lennon, who I played youth football with at Leeds United - he was simply in a different class.

Who is your worst dressed team-mate?
Our club captain Stevie Campbell. He is studying at university just now but there is no need for his student gear at the club!

Who is the best trainer at Bayview?
Ross Campbell always gives 100%. His dad, Dick, would be proud of the effort he puts in.

Who is the best dancer?
Fraser Mullen, who played for Hibs in Europe, you know! He also played for Hearts and won the Ramsdens Cup with Raith Rovers but all he mentions is playing for Hibs in Europe!
