Peter MacDonald has scored in three consecutive games following his recent return to League 1 title challengers Morton from Dundee.

The 34-year-old, who is hoping to fire Jim Duffy’s side to victory over Stirling Albion at Cappielow on Saturday, is the latest player to go under the SPFL Spotlight.

What is the best goal you have ever scored?
I have two best goals – one because it was a great goal and the other because of the importance of it. The first goal is the great one and it came when I was a youth player for Rangers in a game against Celtic at Parkhead. For some reason the game was shown on Sky Sports, which was a big thrill when you are only 15. My goal came in a one-on-one situation with their goalkeeper and I did a Karel Poborsky-type flicked lob over him. I still have the tape of the game and have the odd look at it.

The other goal is the important one as it was the one that will go down in the record books as getting Dundee promotion last season. We were playing Dumbarton at home and I made it 2-0 with a header 10 minutes from half-time. They came back in the second half and scored a goal but we saw things out with a 2-1 win. A draw would have been seen Hamilton promoted so it was a hugely important goal.

What is the best game you have played in?
The Dumbarton game. To play a full season and win something at the end of it was really enjoyable. My son and my family were there to watch it and it was a terrific end to a great season for me. There was a terrific atmosphere at Dens Park and to be celebrating at the end made it a fantastic day.

What is your favourite away ground?

I would pick Tynecastle because the atmosphere there is incredible. I was with St Johnstone and we played a League Cup semi-final there against a really strong Hibs team that included Steven Whittaker, David Murphy, Ivan Sproule, Scott Brown, Michael Stewart and Steven Fletcher. We were in the First Division then but took Hibs to extra time before losing 3-1.

What is your favourite other sport?
I like snooker but I do not play much of it. I like big golf occasions like the Ryder Cup but in reality I am a football man mainly.

Which player in the world would you bring to Morton?
Ronaldo in his prime and I don’t mean Cristiano Ronaldo but the real one –Ronaldo Luis! He was the best striker in the world when he played with Brazil when I was a youngster.  He was the player I looked up to when I was growing up.

What is your favourite pre-match meal?
Toast, poached eggs and some grilled bacon has been my food of choice before games for the past five or six years.

What is your favourite music?
I am not big into music and leave all that to Sean Crighton down at Morton. It is his job to make up stuff for the dressing room - as I’m a bit older than most of the players I do not get too involved in it.

Who is the biggest moaner you have played with?
Paul McGowan at Dundee. He moans about everything!

Who has been your most skilful team-mate?
I have had a few but Jason Scotland and Filipe Morais stand out. I will give it to Felipe as he does a trick that Ronaldinho does when he flicks up the ball. Jason could also do it but Felipe did it in games and made a fool of opponents.

Who was your worst dressed team-mate?
Gary Harkins by a mile. He wears some of the worst outfits I have ever seen! He doesn’t care about it either most of the time - but even when he does care his clothes are awful!

Who is the best trainer you have played with?

Paul Sheerin, who I played with at St Johnstone. He was the best trainer I had seen and it was no surprise that he was still playing last season aged 39.

And the best dancer?!
Jody Morris at St Johnstone - he would use the R ‘n’ B moves he learned as a Londoner!
