Falkirk striker Rory Loy has scored 11 goals this season and the former Rangers, Dunfermline and Carlisle forward is closing in on 50 career goals.
The 26-year-old is the latest player to go under the SPFL Spotlight as the play-off chasing Bairns prepare to face Livingston on Saturday.
What’s the best goal you have ever scored?
I have two favourites - one in England and one in Scotland. The English favourite was an overhead bicycle kick effort in the FA Cup but it was against Alfreton Town as opposed to bigger opponents so it did not get a lot of attention. In Scotland, my favourite goal was only a few weeks ago when we beat Hearts 3-2 at Tynecastle. I scored right at the beginning of the second half when the ball was played up to me with my back to goal. I took a touch with my left foot to get away from my marker before turning and shooting home with the same foot from 18 yards, with the ball going in via a post. Doing that in a game with a great atmosphere and a full house was terrific.
What is the best game you have played in?
It was not quite the full game but playing for five minutes as a substitute at Wembley in a cup final was special. I was with Carlisle and we beat Brentford 1-0 in the 2011 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final in front of 40,000 fans and that is a great memory. I actually came on for Tom Taiwo, who is now a team-mate again at Falkirk.
What is your favourite away ground?
I grew up as a Rangers fan so it has to be Ibrox, even though playing there this season for Falkirk was not the greatest day.
What is your favourite other sport?
The boys at Falkirk have a table tennis table and I quite enjoy being involved in that. Unlike a lot of footballers, I have no real interest in golf.
Which player in the world would you bring to Falkirk?
I would love to have played with Zinedine Zidane. He was a hero of mine when I was growing up. I always had a player in Scotland I would like and a player from the rest of the world - that one was always Zidane. I was not at Hampden the night he scored for Real Madrid but I was in Glasgow that day on a school trip from my school in Stranraer!
What is your favourite pre-match meal?
I usually have chicken pesto and pasta.
What is your favourite music?
I listen to a wide variety of things without having a particular favourite. David McCracken is the top DJ at the club and, while he is not one of the young boys, he is pretty lively with his music.
Who is the biggest moaner you have played with?
It could be me although I have played with quite a few boys that like a moan. However, I will give it to our left-back Luke Leahy who does not even realise he is moaning - he thinks he is just providing a commentary on the game!
Who is your most skilful team-mate?
Craig Sibbald, who scored the winner at Tynecastle recently. The boy is a tremendous talent.
Who is your worst dressed team-mate?
Will Vaulks - who is well known for his dodgy tracksuits!
Who is the best trainer you have played with?
In terms of training, looking after yourself, and being a top professional, then that has to be David Weir. He was at Rangers when I was there and, while I did not get to play with him too often, he is the best professional I have ever seen.
And the best dancer?!
Two boys who were at Carlisle but are now back playing in Scotland - Lee Miller and Jon-Paul McGovern can both pull a shape on the dance floor!
Craig Stewart
