SPFL statement on Sunday’s Scottish League Cup Final between Dundee United and Celtic at Hampden Park, presented by QTS.
Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: “Everyone at the SPFL would like to thank all those involved in yesterday’s final and as we congratulate winners Celtic we offer our commiserations to Dundee United too. Both sets of supporters helped create a wonderful atmosphere.
“The Scottish League Cup Final, and indeed this season’s semi-finals, were presented by QTS and we are delighted with how well this new partnership worked. A huge vote of thanks we offer to Alan McLeish and QTS for their valued support of the Scottish game.
“One final thank you must go to Peter Dallas and his team at Hampden Park Ltd for providing a new surface with such a short space of time to do so.
“With five different winners in five successive years, the Scottish League Cup continues to be a competition providing fantastic memories for fans across SPFL clubs. Already we are all looking forward to next season and the 70th Scottish League Cup getting underway.”
