There were four matches on Saturday, with Ayr United beating Peterhead 2-1 at Somerset Park. Dunfermline Athletic defeated Kelty Hearts 2-1 in the Fife derby at East End Park while Livingston edged past Inverness CT on penalties after a 2-2 draw in West Lothian.
Holders Airdrieonians were knocked out by East Kilbride - the Lowland League side won 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at the Albert Bartlett Stadium.
Rangers B v Stenhousemuir takes place at Forthbank on Tuesday October 22.
