As UK sporting bodies demonstrate their support for inclusion at their events, SPFL United met members of Proud Jags, one of Scotland’s leading LGBTQ+ supporters’ organisations.
Founded in 2017 by Stephen McDowall-Laing, Proud Jags are bonded by their love for Partick Thistle with members dedicated to creating a safe space for supporters to cheer on their side at SPFL and SWPL matches.
Proud Jags members Aaron and Caitlin tell us how SPFL and SWPL clubs have made active efforts with LGBTQ+ groups to ensure they can experience their love of football without barrier or prejudice as well as reflecting on what further progress can be made.
