Spiders squad shaping up

Queen’s Park have tied midfielder Martin McBride(right) to the club for a further season and also snapped up former Partick Thistle striker Graeme Eaglesham following his return from a scholarship in America.

Twenty four year old McBride started his career at Albion Rovers and he has also had spells at East Stirling, Gretna, Cowdenbeath and Stranraer before signing for the Spiders a year ago where as Eaglesham had a loan spell at Albion Rovers in season 2008-2009.

Hampden head coach Gardner Speirs is pleased with the way his squad is shaping up saying, “Martin was a key figure in our midfield when we reached the play-offs last season and I am delighted that he will be remaining with us. Graeme gives us another option up front and that can only be a good thing.”
