St Johnstone sign Hart

St Johnstone have signed former Aberdeen, Livingston and Preston defender Michael Hart until the summer after he was released by Hibernian last month

St Johnstone have signed former Aberdeen, Livingston and Preston defender Michael Hart until the summer after he was released by Hibernian last month.

The 32-year-old began his career at Pittodrie and returned to the North East after a spell at Livingston. He then switched to Preston before joining Hibs in July 2010.

St Johnstone boss Steve Lomas told the club website: "Michael is a good, experienced pro and I’m pleased to get him on board. We are heading into the time of the season where injuries and suspensions can have an impact and he gives us a bit of insurance in that respect."

Meanwhile, Saints striker Carl Finnigan, who moved to McDiarmid Park from Falkirk during the summer, has joined First Division Dundee until the end of the season.
