Stenhousemuir hope to have goalkeeper Chris Smith available for selection next month.
The former St Mirren and Dunfermline No 1 suffered a deep cut to his thigh when he was knocked off his bike recently and boss Scott Booth has brought in Jack Hamilton on loan from Hearts as cover.
He said: “Chris was hit with a bit of force but we are looking at this positively. He has not suffered a muscle or bone injury that could well have ruled him out for longer.
The cut is healing but we cannot rush it - if he plays too soon he could open it up again. Hopefully he will be back in a month.”
