The opponents for the Testimonial Match to honour Motherwell’s captain Stephen Craigan at Fir Park on Wednesday, July 13 have been announced as the 34 year olds only other senior club Partick Thistle.
Craigan has served the Steelmen for 13 seasons with a 3 year spell at the Jags from 2000 to 2003 sandwiched in-between which saw him pick up both a Second and a First Division title winner’s medals, as well the first 3 of his 54 caps for his native Northern Ireland.
Testimonial Committee Chairman Alan Dick, ironically a former Club Secretary at both clubs said, “We are delighted to bring Partick Thistle to Fir Park to recognise Stephen Craigan’s Testimonial. He is a player that is popular with both sets of fans and I am sure it will be a great evening.”
