Recently appointed Morton Manager Kenny Shiels is continuing to reshape his Greenock squad by agreeing to release former Rangers, Stirling Albion and Stranraer midfielder Stephen Stirling from his squad.
The 24-year-old was out of the game for a year following a broken leg he sustained in a game against Partick Thistle in October 2012 and was given a short-term deal by former Cappielow boss Allan Moore last September.
Despite featuring in 13 games since then, Stirling has now been told that he is free to find a new club and a number of League 1 and League 2 sides are already on his tail.
