Stranraer have signed former Dundee United, Queen of the South, Stirling Albion and Dunfermline midfielder Steven Bell until January.
The 28-year-old had been out of the game for nearly three years following an Achilles tendon injury but has played three times as a trialist for the League 1 side.
Blues boss Stephen Aitken said: "Steven has played well in his three games and clubs, including two in a higher division, were looking for him to join them.
“He opted to turn down the chance to make more money and stay here as we had given him the chance to play again. That was a decent thing to do. I am looking forward to Steven playing regularly again over the next three months.”
